Biography
A former musician, Carey got into the AV business in 1993 as an AV technician at the famed Grand Wailea Resort on Maui. Learning his way around all aspects of a stage production, with emphasis on audio, Carey became an A1/Project Manager for AVHQ Hawaii Staging in 1995. This put him in charge of large events and shows. In 1999, he made his way back to the Mainland and became a Project Manager at AVHQ Phoenix. He moved to Sales Manager/Technical Director for PSAV Phoenix before starting 5-0 Productions in 2004. Carey and the 5-0 team have managed and produced events which have included many of the biggest names in the world including presidents, world leaders, sports heroes and business icons.

Adrenaline Rush
Carey has been an avid board sport enthusiast from an early age including skateboarding and snowboarding, surfing all around Maui, and now wake boarding and skiing the Arizona lakes. He also loves mountain biking in the rocky terrain of Arizona and plays ice hockey regularly in an adult league, a sport he picked up from his son. As if all of Carey’s ground and water activities aren’t action packed enough, he’s working on earning his private pilot’s license.
